The music of the Marcin Pater Trio group is primarily the leader’s original work, drawing inspiration from jazz, jazz-rock and fusion music. The combination of an acoustic vibraphone with an alternating electric bass guitar and an acoustic double bass accompanied by a drum kit gives the band a unique sound. In November 2019, the band released their debut album “Nothing but trouble” on the Italian label. The band has performed at many prestigious festivals in Poland, Europe and Asia. Moreover, the musicians were awarded Grand Prix prizes at recognized jazz competitions. The Grand Prix award at the competition as part of the Jazz Nad Odrą festival was successful in cooperation with the icon of Polish jazz music – Leszek Możdżer. In February 2022, the musicians recorded a new material composed and arranged by the group leader. The album was released this year, in January: Marcin Pater Trio & Leszek Możdżer, feat. Jakub Mizeracki – “Between”.
