Austrian pianist David Helbock returns to Garana Jazz Festival with a new trio!

“The New Cool” is the latest project of Austrian pianist David Helbock (awarded in Austria with the “Outstanding Artist Award”). Recorded in august 2020, the album will be released in March 2021 with Act Music, in collaboration with two extraordinary musicians: trupet player Sebastian Studnitzky and guitar player Arne Jansen. With his new trio, Helbock turned towards coll jazz, inspired by the innovations of his idol, Lennie Tristano. Tristano decreed once that “the function of the jazz musician is to feel”. Hellbock, Jansen and Studnitzky achieved this with “The New Cool”, in the most convincing and natural way.
