Pianist Sorin Zlat distinguished himself nationally and internationally and won many very prestigious awards, such as the Grand Award of the Jacksonville Jazz Competition in Floria in 2015, becoming the first artists from outside the United States to receive it. His style is a surprising fusion of jazz, latino, pop and classical music, with the colourful and fascinating repertoire. One side of his talent is to always be able to find new ways of interpreting jazz standards. Another is to create original compositions. At Garana Jazz festival he will play alongside Cătălin Milea – saxophone, Iulian Nicolau – drums and Mike Alex – bass.
