Founded by Maciek Klich, Kacper Kowalczuk, Michał Paduch and Michał Zdrzałek, Katowice’s Ciśnienie was created with one goal in mind: To create the most harrowing and intense musical climaxes imaginable. Stylistically it is a mixture of post-rock, orchestral music and trance jazz, with inspirations oscillating between bands like Swans, Fire! Orchestra and Mogwai, and the music of H. M. Górecki or Arvo Pärt. Horn, violin and keyboards combine with seemingly incompatible distorted bass and frenetic percussion, resulting in exceptionally colourful and diverse soundscapes. They played at many festivals, including Enjoy Jazz in Mannheim. In 2021 they released an album entitled Radio Edit.
