Norwegian guitar player Eivind Aarset, recently awarded the prestigios Buddy-prisen in Norway, return to Gărâna Jazz Festival with a new release! “Phantasmagoria, or A Different Kind of Journey” (Jazzland) is the latest album of the quartet, released in 2021. His creativity seems to have no bounds. With each album, he showcases new, unexpected sounds, winning the audience with the atmosphere his music creates, gliding over a rich tapestry of colours, full of rhythm changes and original effects.

Among his most notable collaborations are the ones with Jon Hassell, Bugge Wesseltoft, Nils Petter Molvær, Jan Bang, Erik Honore, Arve Henriksen, Bendik Hofseth, Andy Sheppard, Dhafer Youssef, Sly & Robbie, Food, Arild Andersen, Ketil Bjørnstad and Marilyn Mazur.
