7th SENSE is a Bucharest based modern jazz band, led by bassist Laura Benedek. They combine fresh jazz compositions with groove driven music and improvisation, their influences ranging from Nubiyan Twist, Ezra Collective, Sons of Kemet to Yussef Kamaal and Christian Scott.

The five musicians met whilst studying at the National University of Music in Bucharest and have been active in various projects from the local jazz scene. Being bound by a strong friendship, the band formed in 2019 during Laura’s residency at Green Hours Jazz Club. Since then it’s grown from strength to strength, achieving to build a solid image around the local and national jazz scene. Their debut album, ‘Light In Chaos’, was released independently in 2022.
