Enzo Favata is a non-conformist saxophonist, composer and creator of fascinating soundscapes. He returns to the Gărâna Jazz Festival with his quartet The Crossing.

The album of the same name was released in 2021. “The Crossing is the band we’ve been looking for for a long time,” says Enzo Favata “We needed jazzmen with a fresh approach to composition. Concert after concert, the quartet has reached a new dimension and cohesion, a true band in all its aspects.”

The Crossing is a journey through space and time, in which complex layers and themes intertwine. With craftsmanship and virtuosity, urban sounds are harmonised with echoes of African and Mediterranean music.
