Experimental saxophonist, singer and composer Korhan Futacı is a prominent figure in Turkey's alternative music scene. Korhan Futacı has played with Peter Brötzmann, Evan Parker, Thurston Moore, Marshall Allen (Sun Ra Arkestra), Erik Truffaz, Ken Vandemark, Joe Mcphee, Akira Sakata, William Parker, Otomo Yoshihide, Alan Wilkinson, Okay Temiz and Alexander Hawkins.
With the Korhan Futacı Futacı Quintet, he creates a fusion between traditional Turkish music and freely improvised music, delicately weaving together the sonic essences of Anatolia. His music is characterized by an energetic atmosphere, dark undertones and abstract textures, aspiring to transport the audience beyond the boundaries of time and space to perceive the "unseen colors of resonances".
