The Joanna Duda Trio stands out in contemporary jazz through a rare balance between rigor and expressiveness. Founded in 2017 by Joanna Duda, the trio treats the classic formula of piano, double bass, and drums as a flexible framework, complemented by the constant use of electronics. Their latest album, Fumitsuke (2025), was hailed by the Polish press as an important step forward: dense music with well-controlled shifts in perspective, which avoids displays of virtuosity in favor of construction and overall coherence.
