\n\nWhen Stian Carstensen, Marius Neset and Thomas Str\u00f8nen team up as The Side Effects, you know that the evening will be wild! Fantastic musicality with a steady course towards new leads and side jumps! The premiere of this trio left the audience in trembling ecstasy. The song material is inspired by, and to some extent, based on melodies from folk music and western art music.\n\n

\n\nStian Carstensen is the renowned multi-talented musician and leading light of the critically acclaimed band Farmers Market. He is actively involved in a variety of musical genres and plays an increasing number of solo concerts classical and jazz, and folk music at festivals all around the globe. His repertoire consists of an eclectic blend of imported and home crafted musical artistry performed on accordion, guitar, banjo, pedal-steel guitar and \u00abkaval\u00bb (bulgarian flute) accompanied at times with vocals and whistling.\n\n

\n\nMarius Neset, previous present at G\u0103r\u00e2na in 2014 with his trio, proved that he is not just a passing star in the contemporary jazz scene. Marius Neset \u201ccombines the sound force of Michael Brecker with the tonal delicacy of Jan Garbarek\u201d (The Guardian). He has already released 9 albums under his own name and has notable collaborations with Django Bates, Lars Danielsson, Arild Andersen, Adam Ba\u0142dych, Daniel Herskedal and many others.\n\n

\n\nThomas Str\u00f8nen has been an ECM recording artist since 2005 when the label released his album Parish, with Bobo Stenson, Fredrik Ljungkvist and Mats Eilertsen. It was followed by recordings with Food, Str\u00f8nen\u2019s duo-plus-guests project with Iain Ballamy, Meadow (with John Taylor, Tore Brunborg), Humcrush (with St\u00e5le Storl\u00f8kken), Reflections in Cosmo (with St\u00e5le Storl\u00f8kken, Hans Magnus Ryan, Kjetil M\u00f8ster), Arild Andersen Quartet, Maria Kannegaard Trio, Time is a Blind Guide.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
