Este extrem de activ pe scena de jazz norvegian\u0103 \u0219i implicat \u00een numeroase proiecte \u00een acela\u0219i timp, dintre care amintim: Mathisen\/Wakenius\/ Zimring Trio; Acu\u00f1a \/ Hoff \/ Mathisen; Mathisen \/ Robin \/ Borlai; Mathisen \/ Aln\u00e6s \/ Piloto; Mathisen \/ Zimring \/ Kikoski. Colaboreaz\u0103 cu Olga Konkova Trio, Ensemble Denada, Hans Mathisen Quartet, Frode Aln\u00e6s Trio, Dance With A Stranger \u0219i Guiffre Zone. Din 2003 este \u0219i membru al colectivului transatlantic de jazz NYNDK, numit a\u0219a pentru c\u0103 muzicienii vin din New York, Norvegia \u0219i Danemarca. A participat la \u00eenregistrarea a 11 albume, ca lider sau colaborator. Este unul dintre cei trei fra\u021bi mai mari, to\u021bi muzicieni, ai lui Per Mathisen.
