textures in real time that range from sweeping orchestrations to fascinating soundscapes, all built\naround improvisation.\nArild Andersen is one of European jazz&#039;s leading double bassists, with a career spanning more than five\ndecades. Known for his collaborations with artists such as George Russell, Don Cherry, Jan Garbarek, Terje\nRypdal, Bill Frisell and for his albums on ECM Records, Andersen combines technical mastery with a deep\nmusical sensibility.
